Benny is a Heinz 57 dogBenny is a Heinz 57 dog (part Springer, Lab, Collie and German Shepherd we think!) who was rescued from Dogs in Distress. He is big brother to two small kittens and is doing well in his 'Kitty Etiquette' lessons. He opens and closes the back door and likes chewing and landscape gardening. He loves walks in the mountains and at the lake, but is a bit wary of the water. He also loves to visit his three Limerick cousins, who are all ladies - a black labrador, a huskie cross and a terrier! Sadly Benny passed away in February 2009. RIP Benny...

What age was he when he died?

I was Benny's foster mum from when he was born. His mum came to me from the pound heavily pregnant and 3 weeks later on a Sunday morning had six puppies - three boys and three girls. Benny was always the chunkiest of them all and a real easy going little fellow. All the pups are doing well in their new homes and even their mum Erin has finally found her forever home. Delighted to hear he is doing so well and a smart boy too with all his tricks. Best of luck Benny. From The Dogs In Distress Team.
