Great Places to Bring Dogs in Galway

Renville Park, Oranmore - Recommended by Anna Ziomek & Cesar

Renville Park is about 5 minutes from the village of Oranmore. It is a great amenity that has been created around an ancient castle, a stately home and a fine estate demesne which dates back to the 16th century. There is an extensive series of walks through woodland and open farmland. The park offers a recreational facility of outstanding quality and beauty. There are picnic areas and a children's adventure playground. It is open all year round, admission is free and it is a popular place for walking dogs.

Norma Campbell says: There is also a walk along the bay. You have the option to park in the car park at the forest park and walk to Renville point or drive down the road to the sailing club and park. Further down you have a track along the bay - it is safe for dogs to swim in the water - just watch out for the windsurfers at times.
