"I just thought I would let you know an untapped resource in almost every county in Ireland!! Most dog owners don't realise that race courses are open to the public during the week. The tracks have to have a road on the inside of them to allow the emergency vehicles access around the track so there's no need to get dirty walking on the actual track. All tracks in Ireland will be a mile or more around so it is good exercise for pooch and owner!! This is the case with my local track (Fairyhouse) who are open 6 days a week but owners should call the course to make sure they will be allowed to walk the track but normally there is no problem!"
