A general licence for people with multiple dogs is €400. Individual dog licences are available from An Post offices nationwide. Man And Dog Rescued From Cliffside In LA
Firefighters had to come to the rescue of a man and his dog after they fell down the side of a cliff during a hike. The man had been walking in the Lake View Terrace area of Los Angeles with members of his family. When his father threw a bottle, Mr Salas' dog followed as it tumbled over the edge. His owner tried to rescue him but then also slid down the hill.

Michael D's Rehomed Dog To Be The Official First Pet
Aras an Uachtarain echoes to the sound of heavy paws as president Michael D Higgins gives a home to at least one and possibly two Bernese Mountain Dogs. The presidential pooch, named Bruno, is a 14-month-old homeless puppy which was secured for the Higgins family by Galway Bay FM radio broadcaster and dog breeder Valerie Hughes.
