Oh My Dog! The Book

Volume 1 of Oh My Dog! The Book was published in 2011, with Volume 2 following in 2012 and we're now accepting photos for Volume 3 so if your dog wants to be in it read on. The book won't be published until later in 2013 but you can start getting your pooch posing now!

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING PHOTOS:

To give your photos the best chance of being selected for Volume 3 here are some general guidelines:

Don't resize your photos before you send them - send them as high resolution jpegs just as they came off the camera. They need to be high resolution to be suitable for print and will ideally be MB in size rather than KB. If you need clarification on this please email info@ohmydog.ie.
The photos should be clear and sharp.
Photos taken with mobile phones may be too grainy for print. Ideally you should use a camera.
The background should be uncluttered if possible.
A border around the photo may be lost during the printing process so keep that in mind before pressing the button!
Action photos on sunny days are good!
Portrait shots are good too but they will have to be really good - many of the photos submitted are of dogs staring at cameras!
Be creative and original.
Try photographing your dog in unusual places.
You can send as many photos as you like but please include the information requested below for each photo.
If its not your dog in the photo or if it is your dog but you didn't take the picture you must have permission from the dog owner or photographer to submit it.
If you submit a photo you are happy for it to be published in the book. It may also be used in promotional material for the book.

Please email your photos and the following details:

a caption or short paragraph describing the photo.
the name of the dog(s) in the photos.
the photographer's name.
the owner's name.

We will send you a confirmation email when we have received your pictures and will select the best photos for the next volume of the book!
